Above is the different when you purchase a modify MAF just do the modification only and get the same performance without purchasing this item in the first place.

NOTE:The honey cone panel will be remove if you purchase any modify MAF but can make it flow better by fill-in the area between the two arrows (to fill it use only, and i Mean Only, Devcon Metal Filler Metal Patch Fill Compound) the other section to fill is, the top part of the elements where the vane has been removed.

To do the job remove the element and place it in a safe spot where the element can't be damage, rebolt the two half of the MAF back together and port match the two half.

NOTE: without taking to much metal out at all as the flow rate will change to much and would need to recalibrating again, after match the ports, polish the inlet and the outlet to a smooth surface (using wet sand paper p600 then p1200)and (finishing with aluminum polish, and reinstall the element ,and make should you line up the two section and tighten. This will enhances the MAF more air flow, it increase straight streams of air flow to the element with less turbulence.

NOTE: The section where the vane was cut off doesn't cause a problem, because it is behind the element air flow
